A confidential informant tipped off law enforcement to an illegal grow house allegedly run by the Client and their two brothers. After the police located the physical grows, the Client was charged with a class one drug felony for cultivation and intent to distribute. Client retained Krizman Law to protect themselves from a mandatory prison sentence and subsequent deportation. Mr. Krizman completed a thorough investigation of every part of police action, from the contact with the informant and search warrant to the arrest.

Mr. Krizman also worked closely with the Client and Client’s family in order to produce mitigation on the Client’s behalf. With skills and experience gained from years of negotiating with the state, Mr. Krizman began discussions with the district attorney for a favorable resolution of the case. Mr. Krizman also worked with an immigration attorney to ensure that his negotiations would resolve in a plea that was immigration safe. After extensive back and forth, Mr. Krizman was able to secure a deal that kept the Client out of both jail and prison and in the United States.

The Client pleaded guilty to simple possession of a non-narcotic controlled substance. The Client will serve two years of probation, will face no jail time, and will not be deported.
