Client was charged with sex assault on a minor and was facing 64 years to life in department of corrections (DOC). As is often with SAOC (sexual assault of a child) cases, mitigation and a favorable Offense Specific Evaluation (OSE) are critical to a successful defense.

Client was initially in denial about culpability, but Mr. Krizman was able to work with them to open up with the truth and then coordinated his OSE. The result of the very favorable OSE was a determinate sentence in DOC open to the Court.

Mr. Krizman coordinated with family and friends of the Client to assist in putting together significant mitigation (in addition to the OSE), and Client was ultimately sentenced to 16 years in DOC.
