VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER – CASE DISMISSED

Our client came to us facing a violation-of-protection-order charge. Krizman Law quickly determined there were errors in reports coming from the court’s pretrial services and took action to clarify matters with the court.

The pretrial services reports erroneously stated our client had missed court hearings. We verified that he had not violated the court’s conditions.

At the same time, we pushed back against attempts to treat marijuana levels or missed drug tests as evidence of wrongdoing. The itself had nothing to do with substance use.

The DA ultimately agreed that continuing the case made no sense, and the court dismissed it in the interest of justice. The judge then sealed the case, requiring no further action from the client.

The result cleared the client’s name, eliminated all charges, ended the pretrial restrictions, and prevented any long-term consequences. Our client and his family left with their record clean and their story fully heard.
